Panthers prop James Fisher-Harris was sent to the sin bin for an ugly high shot on Raiders forward Ryan Sutton — who left the field 10 seconds after coming on.

Then, only 10 minutes later, Nick Cotric was also handed his marching orders.

Sutton replaced prop Josh Papalii in the 31st minute, taking a hit-up which resulted in a stray Fisher-Harris forearm striking his face.

Referee Grant Atkins instantly blew a penalty as Sutton’s face hit the ground — and upon the Bunker’s review it was deemed the Panthers enforcer made forceful contact with the head.

Fisher-Harris looked shocked when Atkins raised ten fingers, sending him for a 10-minute sideline stint.

“A high tackle here from Fisher-Harris on Ryan Sutton,” Fox League’s Andrew Voss said.

“It was with his first carry, it is a sin bin, on report, Fisher-Harris has been sent to the sin bin, the captain was way back.”

“It is all happening here at GIO,” Fox League’s Michael Ennis said.

“The Bunker has looked at it and said force, and therefore you can go to the bin for 10, Penrith down to 12,” Voss said.

Both commentators were left stunned that Sutton was taken for a head assessment after his first carry.

“One run and Sutton is going to come from the field, Harawira-Naera coming on as Fisher-Harris goes up the tunnel,” Ennis said.

“Sutton, ten seconds on the field... there is a bit happening out there,” Voss said.

As both teams left the field for halftime, the Panthers held a 14-6 lead but were a man down and Ricky Stuart would have been desperately hoping his side could build momentum.

But off the kick-off, Panthers gun Dylan Edwards fielded a bouncing ball, copping an ugly shot from Canberra winger Nick Cotric.

“Edwards, coathanger high tackle, Cotric, they are running in from everywhere, I dare say we might be 12 on 12,” Voss said.

“It has been reviewed, there is a careless nature about it, there is some force,” Atkins said.

Only moments later, Fisher-Harris returned from his 10-minute hiatus and the panthers were able to break away down the left side of the field with Dylan Edwards scoring.
